A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician is a trades person who possesses the full range of knowledge, abilities and skills required to diagnose, repair, adjust, overhaul, maintain, operate and test the mobile, heavy duty machinery used in the construction, forestry, mining, petrochemical, material handling, landscaping, land clearing, transportation, road building and farming sectors.
Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians inspect bulldozers, heavy trucks, cranes, graders, drills and other heavy equipment for proper performance. They also inspect equipment to detect and diagnose faults and malfunctions to determine the extent of the repair required. These technicians service engines and engine support systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic, drive trains and perform Commercial Vehicle Inspection. Other duties include adjusting equipment, welding and cutting, repairing or replacing defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools and diagnostic test equipment.
Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians work in the full range of environmental conditions; from comfortable shops to remote sites where inclement weather can be a factor. Shift work is common. Good physical condition is important because the work often requires considerable standing, bending, crawling, lifting, climbing, pulling and reaching.
Requirements: Mechanics
Provincial Journeyman or Red Seal ticket
2+ years of experience as Journeyman preferred
Valid Class 3 License with clean abstract. Class 1 UK
Applicable safety certificates – (we can do this as well)

WELDERS:
A welder or welder operator is a tradesman who specializes in welding materials together. The term welder refers to the operator, the machine is referred to as the welding power supply. The materials to be joined can be metals (such as steel, aluminum, brass,stainless steel etc.) or varieties of plastic or polymer. Welders typically have to have good dexterity and attention to detail, as well as some technical knowledge about the materials being joined and best practices in the field.
Working conditions: Shop based, with requirement for field service when required. Service vehicle is provided. There are different shifts as well, 4 on 3 off, 5 on 2 off, each will total 44 hrs per week, with overtime available.
Experience: Mechanics – CVIP inspection license, or qualified to apply for one, Hydraulic and electric over hydraulic experience, good electrical knowledge, basic truck servicing experience, troubleshooting skills, with applicable testing equipment (employer supplied) A/C experience, off road equipment experience, commercial truck and trailer repair.
Experience: Welders – Provincial Journeymen or Red Seal preferred. Welders with rounded education, fabrication skills, welding all types of metal including aluminum, proficient with all types of fabrication tools, drill press, air arc, ban saws, plasma cutter, mig welder, tig welder, stick welder etc. in the case of an apprentice, basic knowledge of these tools and procedures, but we will provide ongoing training throughout the apprenticeship program.
These will be full time permanent positions, the candidates will be expected to live in the location. There is a 90 day probationary period.

Food laws in NSW require certain food businesses in the hospitality and retail food service sector to appoint at least one trained FSS. The aim of an FSS is to prevent individuals from becoming ill from food poisoning as a result of incorrect handling and preparation of food.
Statistics show that incorrect food handling practices in retail food businesses account for more than one-third of foodborne illness outbreaks in NSW, costing the community hundreds of millions of dollars each year in healthcare and lost revenue.

Food Service Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Responsible for food service management

- Oversees catering operations on a daily basis
- Manages a staff of around 15-20 employees
- Responsible for staffing and labor management
- Accountable for the execution of service quality and ensuring customer and client satisfaction

CARPENTER:
Responsible for designing, building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, furniture, and other items using different types of materials including wood and steel. The Carpenter is responsible for the full range of rough and finished skilled carpentry work, including cabinetry. Incumbents work from blueprints, specifications, drawings and instructions to design, build, remodel, retrofit, maintain and repair various types of facilities and structures; inspect completed work for conformance with specifications, requirements and compliance with applicable building and safety codes and regulations; inspect related work by contractors; estimate cost, time and materials for carpentry projects; participate in the maintenance and operation of the carpentry shop.
Experience:
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
- Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment.
- Build foundations and other concrete formed structures, install floor beams, lay sub-flooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware.
- Maintain a daily log of tasks and hazard assessment cards.
Core Competencies:
- Able to speak, read and write fluently in English
- Practical knowledge of carpentry and building maintenance.
- Practical knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools.
- Practical knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
- Knowledge of basic shop mathematics to calculate metric conversions and materials needed for jobs.
- Follows all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Practices good housekeeping discipline on the job to ensure a safe, non-cluttered workplace and to reduce potential hazards.
- Adheres to company policy and standards onsite.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
